Cherry red with a violet rim. On the nose are black fruits such as blackberries, black stone fruit. There is a slight touch of liquorice with spicy notes from the ageing in American oak. About Condado de Haza
Familia Fernández Rivera planted the first vineyards in 1987. They did so on the banks of the Douro River, on land that has now become a legend. At present, Condado de Haza has 200 hectares of vineyards with 100% Tempranillo, the trademark grape of all four wineries of Familia Fernández Rivera.
To perfect its wines—all made using Tempranillo—the structure of this winery was designed by digging a hill. What’s more, it has a bottle cellar in a tunnel almost 30 metres deep.
